The "original" rich, lanoline & beeswax based cream. Stock supplied "fresh" from the manufacturers.
Previously Known as "Connolly Hide Food"
Made under license
The old (pre 1980) nitrocellulose-based leather coatings themselves contained an oil, which would eventually dry out, go brittle & crack. The "HIDE CARE CREAM/FOOD" recipe was developed by Connolly Leather to keep these coatings moisturised & pliable; not, as many people believe, to absorb through to "feed" the hide itself.
To help penetrate & keep the cream "stable", white spirit was chosen as an emulsifier, which obviously can be detrimental to a lot of modern, water-based leather surface finishes. More so if multiple layers are allowed to build up over the years & PARTICULARLY ON "NEW" DOMESTIC FURNITURE LEATHERS).
If been using on your leather before with no problems, then by all means, continue. If considering using for the first time then always try an unobtrusive area first, apply sparingly & stop if you get any colour movement or prolonged stickiness. Never apply any barrier cream to dirty leather or you will simply seal the impurities in. This eventually can form a mildly detrimental "paste", particularly in the creases. We do not advise it is used if your leather has been "Reconnollised"/refinished before.

If attempting to moisturise dried out, worn, oxidised vintage leathers, try our "Rejuvenation Oil".
